Mum and son found dead at home
AN INQUEST has been opened into the deaths of a mother and son who were both found dead inside their Carmarthenshire home by a relative.
On Thursday, March 26, the bodies of Gwendoline Christine Bound and John David Bound, pictured, were discovered at a property in High Street in Abergwili, less than two miles outside Carmarthen.
Police were called to the scene and cordoned off a part of the street, maintaining a presence outside the property for several hours. They confirmed that the deaths were being treated as unexplained.
An inquest into the deaths was opened yesterday at Llanelli Town Hall. At the inquest, Malcolm Thompson, coroner’s officer for
Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, said police were called at 6.01pm on March 26 by a family member who had discovered the bodies of Mrs and Mr Bound inside the property.
“A neighbour who was a doctor was able to identify both bodies and confirm that they were deceased,” said Mr Thompson.
Paul Bennett, acting senior coroner for Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire, adjourned the inquest, and confirmed that a full hearing into the deaths will take place on October 31, 2021.
