Re-use plastic bottles for others’ comfort
IT is high time that this country and others stopped treating plastic bottles as a waste product but as a valuable resource to be used.
I am sure technicians and scientists could devise a system of making these bottles into products with minimal costs. Plastic bottles could be glued or siliconed together to make walls, buildings, chairs or beds. Rough sleeping and homelessness are predicted to rise in the near future, some of these reused bottles could be useful. In India and Africa, where building products are expensive, bottles could be used to make houses or beds.
Some would say these comments are patronising, but for millions living in squalor a marginal increase in comfort would be a godsend. Stephan L Rees Swansea
