Majority voted for a second referendum

THE Conservative Party that won 43% of the vote last December is now fronting a government of extreme Brexiteers who falsely promised voters an oven-ready Brexit when a majority of voters voted for those parties that promised a second referendum.

The ballot paper in the June 2016 referendum gave voters a deliberately simplistic choice between Leave or Remain without specifying any choice over future trade deals because leaving the customs union or the single market was never mentioned.

Just over 17.4 million voted to leave the EU because they wanted to leave the the political union of the EU not because they wanted to break away from our many trade deals negotiated by the EU with other countries.

We now have an extreme Brexit government that awards government contracts to their Vote Leave campaign business associates.

Their privatisation of health will open up the NHS to American health care companies as part of a Trump trade deal as well as degrading food standards which could mean even higher levels of obesity on the same scale as the US.

I’m not sure for much longer we shall enjoy free speech but for as long as we do I shall continue to make the point that we no longer have a Conservative government because they have been replaced by the Vote Leave campaign led by Dominic Cummings, who clearly doesn’t believe in democracy or even that his own government rules apply to him.
