Man dies after van in crash with cars

A MAN has died following a three-vehicle crash on a dual carriageway in Neath Port Talbot.

The 49-year-old man died as a result of the collision which happened on the A4241, between Port Talbot and Aberavon, at 4.35pm on Tuesday.

A white Ford Transit Connect collided with a blue Renault Megane and a blue Seat Toledo at the Afan Way junction with Victoria Road.

Emergency services were in attendance, but the driver of the Ford Transit van died at the scene.

A 20-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

South Wales Police is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
