ALLEGATIONS made against a primary school worker who was accused of sending nude photos to a pupil’s mum have been found not proven.

An Education Workforce Council hearing was told that Clive Beattie sent three nude photographs to a pupil’s mum over Facebook.

It was also alleged that Mr Beattie told the child he was “in love with their mummy”.

Beattie, who did not attend the hearing, faced two allegations of unacceptable professional conduct while working at Ysgol Penmorfa in Prestatyn, Denbighshire.

But the fitness to practise committee concluded that none of the allegations made against Mr Beattie were found proven.

The allegations of unacceptable professional conduct were alleged to have taken place while Beattie was working at Ysgol Penmorfa in Prestatyn, Denbighshire.

At the EWC hearing, the panel was told how the allegations came about during October 2017 when it was alleged that Mr Beattie sent one or more sexual photographs to a mother of a child at the school where he worked in the knowledge she was the pupil’s mother.

This allegation was found not proven by the panel.

It was also alleged he sent nude photos to the pupil’s mum. This allegation was also not proven.

Beattie did not attend the hearing and his absence was viewed as a denial by the panel.

A key witness, the woman’s husband, who was referred to as Person

B throughout the hearing, was also not present.

The hearing was told by Bruce Knight, an investigations officer at Denbighshire Council, that Mr Beattie had informed him that Person A (the mother of the child at the school) made the first contact with him by sending him a friend request on Facebook.

Mr Knight explained how Mr Beattie told him there was no contact until Person A sent him a message on his birthday saying Happy Birthday with two kisses and a smiley face.

Mr Knight said: “Clive Beattie commented that he thought Person A was very attractive and posted on his Facebook, ‘Oh Clive if only’.

“Then Person A sent him a private message saying, ‘Hello, how are you?’.”

Beattie told Mr Knight of two shared messages before Person A sent him a photo of herself wearing a bra and underwear and said: “It’s your turn now.”

He confirmed to Mr Knight that he sent three pictures to Person A in which he was naked from the waist down and had an erection.

However Beattie denied to Mr Knight encouraging the woman’s child to draw a picture of her – an allegation made by the child’s father – and he also denied saying to the child that he loved the child’s mother.

He also denied knowing the child to Mr Knight.
