WALES has reported no new coronavirus deaths in the latest figures released yesterday.

New data published by Public Health Wales (PHW) reported a further 62 new positive coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 210,577 since the pandemic began.

The total number of labconfirmed coronavirus deaths in Wales remains at 5,533.

The infection rate across Wales now stands at 17.6 cases per 100,000 people for the seven days leading up to April 9, a slight rise from 17.4 on Tuesday.

All of Wales’ local authorities are now reporting fewer than 35 cases per 100,000 people for the seven days up to April 9, but Swansea and Cardiff have the highest rates at 32.4 and 31.3 respectively.
