Man, 44, held after fatal stabbing in city
A 31-YEAR-OLD man was been stabbed to death in Cardiff, South Wales Police have confirmed.
The man was attacked just before 9am on Tuesday outside a shelter for the homeless in Hansen Street, Butetown.
Officers arrested a 44-yearold man on suspicion of murder on the same day in Splott and he remained in custody yesterday.
Detectives say they are not looking for anybody else in connection with the death.
The victim has not yet been formally identified, but police said he is believed to be a local man and next of kin have been informed. A cordon was established in Dumballs Road, near the scene of the stabbing, while police, ambulance, and forensic officers were at the scene.
