Airline increasing flights to French capital from city airport
SPANISH airline Vueling is increasing the frequency of flights on its Cardiff to Paris route.
The carrier said it will have three flights a week from the Welsh Government-owned airport from March.
The route, to Orly Airport in the French capital, was launched in November last year with two flights a week. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The addition of Paris to Vueling’s summer schedule brings the number of direct routes on offer up to four. The others from Cardiff are Alicante,
Malaga and Palma de Mallorca.
Latest passenger figures from the Civil Aviation Authority shows the airport, while well below pre-pandemic levels, had 21,426 passengers in November 2021, compared to 2,541 a year earlier.
