Mother of murdered mum blasts killer over control of children

-

THE heartbroken mother of murdered mum Jade Ward has blasted her daughter’s “scumbag” killer – who retains control over their kids.

Jade Marsh, also known as Jade Ward, was murdered in her own home in Shotton last summer by her estranged husband Russell Marsh.

Since Marsh’s life sentence was imposed in early April, Jade’s family have been campaigning for the law to be changed and suspend parental responsibility for parents who kill.

Less than three weeks after starting the petition, more than 100,000 people have backed the campaign to introduce “Jade’s Law”. Jade’s mum Karen Robinson spoke of her disgust that “that scumbag still expects to have a say in how his children are raised.

“He used his children as pawns during the court case and then accused them boys of lying,” she added. re he ask for updates on them? Because my daughter can’t – she’s buried in the ground.”

She said she will “never stop being her daughter’s voice” and will “never rest” until the law is changed.

Now being considered for a debate in Parliament before MPs, the change could see the automatic suspension of parental responsibility of any parent found guilty of murdering the other parent. As it stands, parental control after imprisonment can only be revoked by a voluntary agreement or if the other parent takes the incarcerated parent to court.
