Man, 28, dies after 999 call

A 28-YEAR-OLD man has died after emergency services were called to an address in the Hengoed area, police confirmed yesterday.

The alarm was raised at 8.50am on Sunday. Gwent Police said that they were called to reports of a “medical emergency” at a house in Grey Crescent, Tir-y-Berth, near Hengoed.

A police spokesman said: “His next of kin have been informed.”

He added that the death is “not being treated as suspicious” and a report has been submitted to the coroner in relation to the death.
