Bloated Senedd has a record of bungling
IT IS a disgrace that the Senedd is planning to increase members by 36, especially at a time when families are struggling already with massively increased bills.
The Senedd has so far presided over the virtual destruction of our road system, with the cancellation of vital road improvements and maintenance, not to mention ridiculous low speed limits on what were designed as high-speed roads, a massive fall in standards in public transport systems, particularly in the rural areas, and destruction of our home-grown energy generation in favour of badly thought out “green” energy schemes which have now left us reliant on foreign sourced gas and electricity.
They have also presided over the strangulation of our wonderful NHS by imposing a hugely bloated bureaucracy, while also wasting a
small fortune changing historical place names in the relentless pursuit of Welshification, even in traditionally non-Welsh-speaking areas.
Far from even more Senedd members, we need massive cuts and efficiencies to be made in the existing structure, with far less emphasis on Cardiff-centric policies. If they cannot do this, it would be better to abolish this bloated excrescence altogether.
