Johnson keeps going back on his word

-

BORIS made promises and deals to the unionist parties to destroy Theresa May’s Brexit deal.

He then turned on those promises and made another set in the protocol to secure a new deal with the EU, also knowing this new deal wouldn’t be supported by the DUP.

He was only able to change the deal because of his majority in Parliament.

He’s now trying to turn back again, this plan remains as unworkable as it is dishonest.

Who wants to do trade deals with a leader who signs trade deals and then wipes out clauses that would suit members at home?

Signing a deal with the US, New Zealand and Australia to increase importing cheap meat, then telling farmers and Tory members no increase in foreign meat imports.

Or make a deal with India which would increase immigration, while telling the country no increase.

When the deals finally come home to roost Boris then flip-flops on some of the deal clauses to calm his supporters.

What makes this NI protocol such a disaster is the way some papers, voters and Tory MPs once had so many morals where their word is their bond are so willing to rip up clauses on a signed trade deal

because suddenly it might cause problems at home because the UK government wants to downgrade food standards below those of the EU.
