Politicians flourish as hospitals are failing
WALES has a population of 3.1 million, yet due to decades of incompetence, waste and three health ministers later (Mr Drakeford, Mr Gethin, Ms Morgan) waitingtimes for hospital appointments are at a record-breaking 700,000, with people waiting for up to 20 hours for an ambulance.
Welsh Labour’s answer to a failing health service is a free bus service to the Grange Hospital, so far, so good; however, the reality is that many patients arrive at the Grange and other hospitals only to be told they are at the wrong hospital, so it’s back on the bus and no treatment.
Sadly, those responsible for this abject failure have seen their political careers flourish: incompetence appears to be an essential attribute to hold high office in Wales.
