Matondo in the running for double awards success
WALES international Rabbi Matondo is in line for two awards in Belgium.
The winger has been in tremendous form while on loan for Cercle Brugge, netting 10 goals in 27 appearances.
One of those strikes, against KV Kortrijk, has been nominated for the league’s goal of the season award.
Matondo has also been nominated for the young player of the year award.
He will vie for the award alongside Charles de Ketelaere of Club Brugge and Sergio Gomez of Anderlecht.
Matondo, 21, who came through the ranks with Cardiff City before a spell with Manchester City, looks poised to return to parent club Schalke later this summer.
