Spare a thought... but don’t panic

-

THE King in his Christmas message tells the UK that we should spare a thought for those less fortunate.

The cost of living has impacted millions: homeless, the elderly, whom need to wrap blankets and coats, around themselves to keep warm, the less well off, that have a choice of heat or eat.

Don’t panic.

His daughter-in-law, has an expensive new coat and hat, so that she can be photographed and go to church.

Hypocrites?

MS Mick Antoniw, believes that the high cost of energy is worth the cost of freedom for the Ukraine. Clearly Mr Antoniw, hasn’t done his homework.

The UK mostly gets it’s gas from the North Sea and the Norwegian field, and LNG from Qatar. Very little is from Europe.

The sky high prices are due to Oligarchs, blackmailing a weak government in the UK. We have a 500% increase in the UK, meanwhile countries in Europe have outrageous increases the energy hungry countries like Germany and France, of 5%.

We all would like to see a peaceful Ukraine but using the high cost of energy is an excuse to highlight the shameful war there.

Blame Putin yes, and more power to you elbow, when you do, Mr Antoniw.

The European Union, has allowed oligarchs, for years to control energy across Europe and since the war in the Ukraine and they have retreated back to Russia leaving billions in yachts, cash, property and football clubs, and they want it back. Hence the cost.

Then we come to First Minister Mr Drakeford MS. He is a climate zealot, without thinking things through. Reader Mr LJ Jenkins of Cardigan highlights the Welsh Government’s short-term thinking by putting the cart before the horse.

Using the maximum output to judge what is needed against the true output will be fatal for many and disastrous for what’s left of the Welsh economy. Planting trees, buying up farms and blind faith, can’t help the Welsh people, nor NHS Cymru.

The King, Mr Antoniw, Mr Drakeford, hypocrites all.
