CARL RUSHWORTH

Swansea had 71 per cent possession, leaving their keeper with very little do. Swansea fans tried keeping the Brighton loanee occupied trying to get a wave from him towards the East Stand.

JOSH TYMON

The left-back’s day started with an early burst forward which livened up the crowd. Didn’t have too much to do defensively but did well going forward and linked up well with Paterson.

HARRY DARLING

Looked confident as he strode forward to unleash a long-range effort. His forward runs advanced Swansea on a few occasions and his defensive partnership with BenCabango proved solid, earning a clean sheet. A few of the defender’s passes to Paterson did find themselves going out for a Rotherham throw-in, though.

JOSH KEY

Linked up well with Ronald and Fulton a few times on the right and had a very solid game offensively and defensively.

JAY FULTON

His yellow-card challenge to stop a Rotherham attack may have been important and the defensive dirty work was done well. Overall, a fairly understated performance for the Scotsman who was subbed off for Liam Walsh in the 73rd minute.

MATT GRIMES

The skipper kept hold of the ball well throughout, Rinomhota and Clucas didn’t break through the Swansea midfield and Grimes was a big part of that. Unspectacular but a composed performance.

JAMIE PATERSON

Paterson’s performance may not have been quite as lively as previous fixtures, however six chances created speaks for itself. His heavy pressing nearly paid off early on as he stole the ball to set up Cullen, who hit his effort straight at Johansson.

OLLIE COOPER

An industrious performance, epitomised by the challenge on Odoffin that earned him a yellow card. His five defensive actions may not have been the stat he hoped for when he woke up, but they were important nonetheless.

RONALD

Another energetic performance from the Brazilian. He had four shots at goal. Unfortunately, Ronald’s crosses often missed the mark.

LIAM CULLEN

Cullen battled hard throughout the game, causing an early flare-up with former Cardiff man Lee Peltier. Going forward though, Cullen didn’t pose much of a threat to Rotherham’s physical defensive line.
