NARBERTH and Bargoed are champions of Admiral Championsh­ip West and East respective­ly after their victories at the weekend.

Centre Hedd Nicholas scored a hat-trick to inspire Narberth to a crushing 61-7 win over Maesteg Quins in their final match of the season in the West Division.

Wing Geraint Llewellyn bagged a brace for the Otters.

Ashley Sutton, Ianto Griffiths, Josh Hamer and Ilan Phillips also crossed. Jonathan Rogers kicked five conversion­s and Griffiths three.

Jack Riggs scored for the visitors, with Owen Howe converting.

Narberth win the title by three points from Brecon, who ended their campaign by winning 43-12 at Ystalyfera.

Wing Ben Griffiths ran in a hat-trick alongside a double for Sam Jones and tries from Geraint Walsh and Dion McIntosh, who also landed four conversion­s.

Bargoed saw off Penallta 35-3 to add the East title to their Championsh­ip Cup triumph.

Dai Evans, Morgan Edwards, Mathew Lewis and two Ashley Norton tries saw the Bulls to victory with Josh Prosser adding the conversion­s.

Newbridge secured the fifth promotion spot into next season’s community Premiershi­p after a thumping 68-19 win over already promoted Ystrad Rhondda in their final match.

Robbie Turley, Sam Watkins, Josh Thomas, Cian Jones (2), Matthew Davies, Ethan Evans,

Matthew Jefferies, Luke Morgan and Iestyn Martin-Lloyd scored for Newbridge.

Turley converted nine of the 10 tries.

Tom Foulkes, Josh Williams and Jordan Pritchard scored for Ystrad with Rhys Truelove kicking two conversion­s.

It means Bargoed, Cardiff Met, Cross Keys, Ystrad Rhondda and Newbridge are the five promoted teams in the East.

Keys wrapped up their fixtures by edging Bedwas 24-23 with Dan Babos, Callum Hague and Tom Sullivan on the scoresheet.

Treorchy finally got their first win at the 20th time of asking as they beat Rumney 17-13.

Newcastle Emlyn joined the promoted teams from the West – Narberth, Brecon, Llangennec­h and Bonymaen – without even playing.

That is after Dunvant were defeated 54-24 at home by Llangennec­h.

No. 8 Jordan Saunders led the way with a hat-trick for Llangennec­h. Louis Rees (2), Harrison Button, Osian Evans and a penalty try were their other try scorers.

Steff Marshall kicked four conversion­s and Osian Evans two.

Bonymaen came from 25-5 down to win 31-25 at Ammanford.

Nick Clancy grabbed the winning try with Scott Clancy, Andrew Pritchard and two tries from Garan Williams also on the scoresheet.

Lawrence Thomas kicked the conversion­s.
