Daughter pays tribute to her bipolar mum
The heartbroken daughter of a Devon woman who died after going missing on Thursday has paid tribute to her “beautiful mum”.
Chloe Rankine, 22, said she wants to increase awareness surrounding mental health issues following the death of Tracey Hancocks, who lived in Bideford.
Tracey, 51, suffered from bipolar disorder and lost her life following a period of depression, Chloe said. She was described as “the life and soul of the party” who was selfless in all aspects of life.
“Unfortunately life is cruel sometimes and tonight my beautiful mum was taken by depression,” said Chloe. “Bipolar is a battle and sometimes the war unfortunately wins. My mum was a wonderful lady, who was so selfless.”
