SPLASH OUT ON RARE OPPORTUNITY
Auctioneers have hailed a Helston property as the ‘most unusual, versatile and picturesque coastal investment opportunity’ to come to the market for years.
Steamers House at The Cove, Cadgwith, is going under the hammer with a freehold guide price of £100,000 to £200,000.
Units are already let at £2,900 per annum to local businesses, guaranteeing an income to the new owner.
It is among the lots listed for sale by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson on December 13.
Auctioneer Graham Barton said: “Steamers House quite literally opens out on to the pebbles of Cadgwith Cove.
“It is a once in a lifetime chance to acquire probably the most unusual, versatile and picturesque coast investment opportunity to come to the market for years.
“A well-known property,
it already benefits from three income streams and offers potential for some innovative occasional, or more frequent, residential use/development at the seaward end of the building subject to the necessary consents.
“The new owners may also simply wish to use the property to take advantage of the chance to spend time undercover looking out and enjoying the sea views whether, calm or stormy.”
An art gallery, crab shop and a fisherman’s store are the producers of the rental income from Steamers House.
It is being auctioned jointly with Miller Commercial of Truro.
Clive Emson Auctioneers holds eight rounds of auctions at five locations from Essex to Cornwall on consecutive days every six weeks, this time with a total of 131 lots.
Starting at 11am, the eighth and final of Clive Emson Auctioneers’ regional West Country auctions in 2018 takes place at the St Mellion International Resort, St Mellion, Cornwall, on Thursday December 13, 2018.
