3,000 gold stars in display at trust property
Staff and volunteers at a Westcountry National Trust property have created a Christmas display with an amazing 3,000 hand-made and painted gold stars.
The Elizabethan Manor of Trerice, near Newquay, open during the weekends in December, has seen its display of starts grow year by year since it started in 2014.
Emily Hide, visitor experience officer from Trerice, said the idea for the stars was inspired by the detailed craftsmanship of the plaster ceilings in the house.
“We started off with a few hundred and it’s slowly grown over the years,” she said. “It does take a while to make them and put them up butit makes the barn look magical.”
