Reinvent democracy for a digital age

AS a sort of inventor myself, I know how hard it is to emerge from the process of invention, developmen­t and snagging, finally to say it is done.

Then, quite suddenly, to discover some improvemen­t you had not thought of. It happens all the time and there is no shame in it; only embarrassm­ent for the inventor.

Invention is more evolution than inspiratio­n. Every step has to stand on the shoulders of the step before and the more steps taken, the faster progress proceeds. Users usually accept this. Only those who live by commentary alone mock better brains than their own.
