Auction rooms to launch live online-only sales

THE team at Plymouth Auction Rooms have put in place an effective and safe system for bidding at their as sales until the current restrictio­ns are lifted.

Auctioneer Paul Keen says: “Bidders can join us live in the saleroom from the comfort of their homes and not miss out on any of the lots coming up for sale, they can still experience the excitement of an online-only auction and watch the auctioneer at work”.

Although the local saleroom will remain closed to the public, the auctioneer­s have made it is easy to register and bid online through their bidding platform.

“We appreciate that people will be unable to handle the goods and bid in person but we can provide full condition reports, images and even short videos to all potential bidders”.

They have an in-house postage department and will be able to hold on to any lots FOC until the restrictio­ns are lifted.

The next auction will be Jewellery, Watches & Silver this Wednesday, 27 May, starting at 10.30am. The sale has already attracted tremendous online national and internatio­nal interest, with registrati­ons from as far as the US, Singapore, and the Far East. The sale hosts some rare Rolex watches, stunning diamond jewellery, a great selection of gold and also antique silver wares.
