The problem is from human garbage and plastics

-

MIKE Jackson sounds rather cross simply because I responded to the Editor’s question as to how the two leaders of the two main political parties compare (WMN, July 7).

Could I remind Mr Jackson that most of our national press have described Boris as a liar? With two wives and various girlfriends, he seems unclear as to exactly how many children he has fathered; he moved his pregnant girlfriend (who is not much older than his eldest daughter) into Downing Street whilst still officially married to his second wife, and The Sun carried front page headlines of ‘Bonking Boris’.

I would suggest that just about anyone would have been ‘streets ahead’ compared to Boris. His latest statement, regarding the dedicated workforce in our care homes, just about sums up this unpleasant individual who is unfit to be leader of our great nation.

Could I also suggest that if Mr Jackson is so concerned with BLM – then he himself writes to Sir Keir Starmer. I can’t be expected to do everything! In fact, I consider I deserve some credit from Mr Jackson for the time I have invested in attempting to expose XR for what they truly are, i.e. far left Marxist extremists – equally as bad as far right racist extremists. XR have set out to infiltrate all the corridors of power. I have been asking North Devon Council if they are aligning themselves to this extreme group who simply want to bring down capitalism and create anarchy. To date, the Chief Executive and others have refused to respond to my legitimate concerns concerning Green Party/ XR Councillor Nettie Pearson – but I intend to go on asking! The more they refuse to answer – the more curious I become. NDC have got together with XR to hold public meetings (twice) giving the impression to the public that these public meetings were organised by NDC, which I now understand from their own staff was not correct and they were, in fact, organized by XR!

Advertisements in the press made absolutely no mention that they were organized by XR but certainly gave the impression they were NDC meetings and council officers would be present to answer questions.

As for a Green Party/XR district councillor who belongs to a party who believe in disregarding the law when it suits them; to actually be put in charge of draconian measures to ban dogs from beaches to be enforced legally by PSPO regulations – it beggars belief! How can someone who does not believe in the Rule of Law be enforcing laws and regulations for others? Staggering hypocrisy! Do they think the general public are a bunch of idiots? And, before I receive shrieks from the anti-dog brigade – I am specifically referring to Instow Beach in North Devon which does not have a dog poo problem! I have walked this beach for the past 45 years and would be the first to complain if there were any such problem. The problem is from human garbage and plastics. Why is Cllr Pearson picking on dogs – and suggesting dogs on leads on the Tarka Trail (when the problem here is speeding cyclists)? Instow is an estuarine beach which carries warning notices stating clearly: ‘No swimming at any time’ because of dangers from quicksand, fast tidal currents, sewage pollution from SWW, farm run off, etc...

Incidentally, isn’t North Devon Council guilty of breaking its own rules by refusing to respond to correspondence from taxpayers?
