Fine selection at two-day sale
RENDELLS at Stonepark has a full auction sale on Decemer 17 and 18, with every section well represented. There will be limited viewing by appointment only on December 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16.
There will also be limited pre-booked attendance on the two sale days (further restrictions apply). So book your slot by contacting the salerooms prior to travel.
The sale features a large selection of jewellery ideal for that last-minute Christmas present with prices ranging from £10 for mixed costume jewellery to £2,000 for a platinum and diamond ring, with numerous pairs of earrings, chains, pendants, bracelets and other rings to suite all pockets.
Furniture, collectables, china and glassware, pictures and paintings also feature.
There is a good selection of antique and retro furniture including dressers, book and other cabinets, tables, chairs and mirrors.
A small selection of antique and later wall barometers, small timepieces and clocks include an Aesthetic Movement black slate and marble cased mantel clock, with visible escapement to black and gilt dial and S. Marti eight day gong striking movement. Est. £50-£70.
A Veritable cornucopia of items on offer this month in the collectables secion with everything from musical items to toys via signs, Treen items and a large private collection of swords including a Fijian priest’s carved wood Yaqona bowl in the form of a bird, from the island Vitlevu. Est. £1500-£200.
Ceramics feature numerous Beswick and other figures, Oriental items, vases, good glassware, dinner and teaware.
The metalwork section has decorative cast metal figures, collectable copper and brassware and fire furniture including a pair of bronze candlesticks in the form of kneeling angels with urns on their heads, set on stepped plinth bases – as table lamps. Est. £50-£80.
Silver includes salvers, tea and coffee ware, cutlery and decorative items, including a 21.5cm late Georgian silver hot water jug of semi-reeded design by Michael Starkey – London 1819. Est. £240-£280.
There are numerous local views in the pictures and paintings section, by the likes of Widgery and Sherrin, etc. Also good quality limited edition coloured prints, etchings, portraits and other original works.
There are also sections of outside effects, rugs and silver plate.
