A: Susan stopped typing. "That's funny," she said. "I've just done two invoices for Lunex, same amounts and both amounts even pounds."

"That moon outfit, eh?" Clem smiled. "What's odd about that if the things are the same?"

"Well, they're for pluters," the girl told him. "But one's for two sizes at 49p and 74p, while the other is for the 59p and 69p sizes."

"All strictly nett and no tax, then." Clem glanced at the invoices. "That is really odd, and it could not have been that way for any smaller totals."

What were those totals?

B: Len shook his head. "No, I only remember it's on the odd number side of Dingle Lane," he declared. "And Eve said there are thirty-three numbers that side in her block."

"You mean between crossroads? That narrows it down a bit," said Anne.

Len replied, "But she did remark it was funny that in that block all the odd numbers below hers total the same as those above on her side."
