WINNING WESTCOUNTRY PHOTOS REVEALED
THIS photo above, capturing harvesting north of Crediton, is the winner of the Working Landscape Today section of our Photographer of the Year competition.
The photo was taken by Chris Geiger, from Bristol, while in the Westcountry during the summer.
“I’m rather obsessed with photography; I always have either a digital or old fashioned 35mm film camera with me at all times,” said Chris.
Chris is a cancer survivor, who was diagnosed and successfully treated for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He writes regularly for numerous publications, offering hope and inspiration to anyone touched by cancer.
His book, The Cancer Survivors Club, brings together inspirational first-hand accounts of ordinary people who have beaten cancer.
Chris also loves baking and fulfilled another ambition when he earned a place on The Great British Bake Off.
New theme
The new theme for the competition, taking into account the latest lockdown, is ‘Close to home’. Email your entries to wmnpiccomp@westernmorningnews.co.uk putting Close to home in the subject line and please include a brief caption. Closing date for entries is February 28, 2021.
