Museum’s award nomination
PLYMOUTH City Council has been shortlisted for a national award which celebrates local authorities which champions arts against the odds – having opened The Box halfway through the pandemic.
The council has been nominated for ‘Best Arts Project’ in the National Campaign for the Arts’ (NCA) Hearts for the Arts Awards 2021, after opening the £44m museum, gallery and archive in September.
The Hearts for the Arts Awards celebrate the unsung heroes of local authorities which champion the arts, and will this year be announced on Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2021.
Actors Samuel West and Adrian Lester are among the judges for the awards.
