AN auction of fine sparkly gems to brighten up these cold Winter nights may be just the tonic at this time of year. Ahead of its March jewellery sale Plymouth Auction Rooms has been busy cataloguing some stunning lots for display on its brand new website.
From the comfort of your home you can browse the quality of the diamonds in a fine fringe necklace set in white gold. If you like it you can now request a video clip to show you all the fine detail on the round cut diamonds. It carries an estimate of £2500 to £3000 at the auction.
Diamond bracelets have sold very well at these local salerooms over the last year and those that missed out will be able to bid for lot 25 comprising 48 cut diamonds weighing over 8 carats, you may need deep pockets with a guide of £3500.
More affordable is the garnet cluster ring, size M at just £400 this vibrant stone is enough to brighten any winter greys and you could match it with the ruby earrings for £150.
One of the headliners of the auction is the fine antique French diamond, pearl and almandine garnet pendant which may prove to be a good investment piece with the ever increasing demand for antique jewellery.
