Support for projects in rural areas
INNOVATIVE Westcountry projects that address rural community resilience are being urged to apply for funding worth up to £10,000.
The Prince’s Countryside Fund (PCF) has this week opened for grant applications with support from People’s Postcode Lottery and the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust.
Established by the Prince of Wales in 2010, the charity aims to ensure that the UK has thriving family farms and rural communities, encouraged and recognised for their role in creating a sustainable future for the countryside and our whole nation.
For this latest round of funding, it is seeking innovative projects that build resilience through community-led solutions, from groups and organisations who are working in villages and hamlets with populations of less than 3,000 residents.
The new grant programme opened on Thursday, February 18 and will close on Friday, March 19. For more information and to apply, please visit the website www.princescountrysidefund. org.uk/grants.
