RENDELLS at Stonepark is holding a two-day auction of antiques and selected items including furniture, china and glassware, clocks, collectabl­es, pictures and paintings, postcards, stamps and ephemera, and a large collection of fishing items on Thursday, February 17 and Friday, February 18.

This sale includes the bi-monthly sections of China and Glassware and on Friday afternoon Books and Postcards, Stamps and Ephemera.

The sale also features interestin­g collectabl­es, paintings and a good selection of antique and retro furniture and of course the large private one owner collection of fishing items and other private vendor items.

These are to be sold at 1.30pm on Friday, February 18 in over 320 single and multiple lots, with everything from Hardy and other split cane fishing rods to modern Carbon Graphite examples and just about everything in between.

Rendells jewellery room is completely full of fishing reels. Again featuring all the top vintage to modern makers covering centre pin fly, fixed spool spinning, multiplier­s for boat and sea use, etc. There are also multiple lots of vintage and later lures, while it also has a cabinet full of collectabl­e Hardy, Wheatley and other fly cases with contents. A truly extensive collection that had been planned to be part of the late vendor’s intention of starting a fishing museum on his retirement.
