Sparkling times lie ahead
ON Wednesday evening over 250 selected lots of jewellery and watches will be up for auction in Plymouth. The auctioneers have already received many enquiries for the fine array of diamonds, and other precious jewels on offer.
Auctioneer Paul Keen said: “We are delighted to present the first major jewellery sale of the year, if you have a passion for jewellery then this is a sale not to be missed.”
Amongst the collection is lot 200, a fine gentleman’s 18ct gold Rolex Day Date wristwatch, model 1803 dating around 1978, complete with presentation box and service history, estimated at £6,000 to £8,000.
A real showstopper in the ring section is lot 195, an 18ct white gold ring set with a huge 17 carat Tanzanite surrounded by a mixture of brilliant round cut and baguette cut diamonds. Finger size N to N ½ bids will open around £4,000 for this stunner.
Lot 52a is a neat 18ct half band eternity ring set in white gold ring set with eight round brilliant cut diamonds, approximate 0.80 carats, size K , with a guide of just £800 this appears to be very good value for money. At £300 to £400 is lot 173, a bright pear-shaped ring set with Canadian diamonds size P ½.
Lot 68 (three views) is a very pretty 18ct white and rose gold cylindrical design pendant set with round cut rubies and round brilliant cut diamonds on a 16” curb style chain, valued at £700 to £800.
