RENDELLS at Stonepark, Ashburton is holding its two-day auction of antiques and selected items on Thursday, March 24 and Friday, March 25, commencing 10am daily.
The sale will offer our buyers the chance to secure items from a large and varied selection of antique and later furniture, clocks and barometers, collectables, ceramics, metalware, jewellery, silver and plate and of course a picture section to end.
In addition there will be another specialist section of fishing collectables on the Friday afternoon and with Spring finally on its way, the outside effects section on Thursday morning is packed with all manner of planted and unplanted terracotta, concrete and other planters and pots, numerous garden benches, chairs and tables, statuary, tools, etc.
The collectables and silver sections both include various motoring interest items relating to the pre and post war motorcycle racer E.C. Cornwell to include early Brands Hatch and other ephemera, a pair of silver figural trophies and many other of his silver trophies from Sydenham Motor Club and others.
Jewellery features everything from £10 for a mixed quantity of costume jewellery to a rather impressive three stone diamond ring with an estimate of £7,500-£7,800 along with other stand alone pieces including a marked 18k tennis/inline bracelet, set with 3.8cts of diamonds estimated at £2,200-£2,400 and a marked 18k white metal ring, set with large central emerald within a sixteen stone diamond border for £1,800£2,000.
