Cornish items certainly feature strongly in the auction and an unusual Cornish serpentine mounted mantel clock, the base of red stepped serpentine below a green serpentine Egyptian-style obelisk measures 23” high and is certainly impressive with an estimate of £100 - £150. A 19th century Cornish mercury stick barometer by Berringer and Schwerer of Redruth and Penzance with ivory scales above a thermometer in polished rosewood case should sell for between £100 - £150.
