Angry to hear of Connelly’s release

-

THE Parole Board has decided that Tracey Connelly, the mother of 18-month-old Baby P, who was sentenced to an indefinite term behind bars after being convicted of colluding in the severe physical abuse to which the infant was subjected by Connelly and her partner – Steven Barker (who was

also convicted of raping a two-yearold) – from the day he was born until the day her son died from the horrific injuries inflicted upon him by the evil pair, should be released from prison after just over a decade.

Jailed in 2009, Connelly was released on licence in 2013 – but sent back to prison after breaching the rules under which she was freed. While in prison, she also had an affair with another prisoner (about which she reportedly lied to the parole board).

This case only serves yet again to highlight everything that is wrong with our rotten judicial system – under which crimes against property are punished with far more severity that crimes against the person.

It is time that the law mandated compulsory sterilisation of all persons convicted of child abuse.

If Connelly is to be released it should only be once it has been made impossible for her to bear children and she should be banned for life from ever being alone with a young child.

Unfortunately Connelly is to be given a new identity – which means that somewhere in this country there will be parents with young families completely oblivious to the fact that a convicted child-killer is living among them – with the consent and blessing of the authorities.
