CLARKS’ final sale of 2022 takes place on Thursday, November 24. Auctioneer Paul Clark said: “Like many businesses have experienced post Covid, it has been hard work getting ourselves re-established again. We are grateful for the loyalty and support our customers have shown us over the last 12 months”.

Among the myriad of lots includes some interesting pieces of furniture, ideal for decorators. A good example of a 19th century Housekeepers Cupboard has a guide of £800-1000 whilst an 18th century D-end table is in at just £100-200.

An impressive, large Victorian oak dining table with nine oak chairs and one carver is in at £600-800 and a 17th century oak dresser base isn’t expensive at £500-600. Two oak Mappin cutlery chests (£50-60 each) and a large, antique Regency-style mirror (£200-300), have chances. A cranberry Victorian oil lamp (£100-150) and a another with lime coloured etched shade (£100-200), would appeal in many a period setting.

There are numerous pieces of jewellery for all budgets. A bespoke silver bejewelled moonstone pendant with chain should have no trouble achieving its guide of £30-50 and similar could be said for a sterling silver enamelled brooch set with coral and turquoise at £20-30.

A 9ct gold bangle with chased decor ought to make £400-500 and a 24ct gold Oriental necklace and heart pendant has to be in the hunt at £250-300. A pair of 18ct white gold earrings set with diamonds and pearl (£200-300) and a gold Scottish dirk set with agate should achieve £30-50.
