Explore extensive range of farming equipment at new branch open day

-

Bond Agri is hosting an open day at its recently-opened branch in Holsworthy, allowing farmers to find out more about the comprehensive range and service and a new approach to the supply of farm machinery.

Bond Agri is the latest business venture for W H Bond and Sons Ltd of Trerulefoot who operate in farming, plant hire and timber products. It follows the recent acquisition of IDM Services.

The open day at the branch on Dobles Industrial Estate, Holsworthy will be taking place today from 10am until 8pm. Visitors will be able to view a selection from the more than 50 competitively- priced tractors and 200 items of agricultural equipment as well as an extensive range of commercial vehicles and discuss their requirements and options with members of staff and will representatives from key manufacturers.

There will be promotions running throughout the day and one lucky visitor will walk away with free use of a Deutz tractor for a week.

Bond Agri bring a wide range of suppliers to the region and are dealers for Deutz Tractors, Horsch, Vicon and Maschio, Spread-a-Bale, Redrock trailers, slurry tankers and silage grabs. In addition, they have taken on dealerships for Lucas G diet feeders and straw choppers along with Marshall trailers, muck and slurry handling equipment. Plans are already in place to extend the range significantly ahead of the spring.

They offer a wide range of new and second hand machinery and will consider part exchange on purchases. In addition to machinery sales, Bond Agri provide a full workshop facility with a comprehensive parts, repairs and service operation alongside machinery testing services, fertiliser spreader and sprayer testing and calibration.

Director Chris Bond said: “Since opening the branch we have seen a steady growth in interest in our exclusive range of products.

“We understand the different demands and budgets of all involved in farming, from small farm businesses through to large contracting operations and aim to have something for everyone. For example we stock muck spreaders from 5.7 cubic metres through to 15.1 cubic metre capacity.

“Farmers are also increas- ingly interested in our machinery hire service which can help with cash demands on their businesses. They can tie up a considerable amount of capital in machinery and kit that is used for a relatively short time and we think these funds could be better employed or allow reduced borrowings.”

Mr Bond added: “Our experience in plant sales and plant hire means we understand the best approaches to hiring machinery and have already rented tractors, power harrows, ploughs and slurry equipment to help farmers get timely tasks carried out quickly and costeffectively.”
