Pedestrian dies after being struck by a car

An elderly man has died after being struck by a car as he walked in Killigrew Street, Falmouth. The pedestrian was taken to hospital at

Truro but pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Police are now appealing for witness to the collision, which involved a silver Seat Leon. Devon and Cornwall Police said the man’s next of kin had been informed and a full investigation in the accident was under way. Officers thanked people for their patience while the road was closed.
