I voted Tory but I’m outraged over this
HAVING watched yesterday’s interview with Dominic Cummings, I am outraged at the breathtaking arrogance of the man. It was even worse to see Boris Johnson’s pathetic, bumbling attempt to defend him. I feel further angered and disappointed that the PM evaded journalists’ questions about the interview.
I voted Conservative, for Boris Johnson. I liked his strong stance on Brexit and was impressed by his no-nonsense attitude and how he dealt with the Brexit negotiations.
I have to say that I have been less than impressed with his handling of the coronavirus crisis in general and the Dominic Cummings affair in particular.
I didn’t vote for this obnoxious, arrogant little man and yet he seems to be the puppet master with Boris Johnson the puppet. Does he have some hold over the PM? Does he not answer to anyone? Is he unsackable?
We have all had such a difficult few months, I have not seen my grandchildren or great grandchildren since this started.
One grandson had symptoms early on, 111 told his parents to isolate for two weeks, give him Calpol and call back if it got any worse. We were worried sick and fortunately it wasn’t CV.
His mother’s family live in London, I wonder if Downing Street would have found it acceptable if they raced to London to be with her family? I doubt that using their initiative would have been an acceptable excuse.
I can hardly believe I am saying this but Keir Starmer talks a lot of common sense and is looking much more like a leader than Mr Johnston. If there was an election tomorrow I would be severely tempted to give him my vote. There must be a lot of people in the country who also feel this way at the moment.
Mr Johnson needs to buck up his ideas and put the country before his buddy or he will lose all the goodwill he generated when he replaced Theresa May.
I am a very disappointed Tory voter at the moment.
