PLYMOUTH Argyle completed a new signing on the eve of their League One game away to Hull City on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest’s 21-yearold defensive midfielder Tyrese Fornah has completed a loan move to Ryan Lowe’s Pilgrims on a season-long loan.

Fornah was named on the Argyle bench against Hull, buit he did not feature in the Pilgrims’ 1-0 defeat.

The midfielder will wear the number 18 shirt for the Pilgrims and becomes the fourth loan signing within their ranks.

The others are Blackpool striker Ryan Hardie, plus defenders Jerome Opoku (Fulham) and Kelland Watts (Newcastle United).

Hardie and Watts will spend the rest of the season with Argyle, while Opoku’s deal is until January.

Fornah made his first team debut for Forest as a second half substitute during a 2-0 FA Cup third round tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in January 2020.

The midfielder had signed a new contract with the Championship club the previous month, taking him through to the summer of 2022.

Meanwhile, Argyle’s talented young midfielder Adam Randell has completed a loan move to National League club Torquay United.

The announcement came exactly an hour before the Gulls began their 2020/21 National League campaign with a dramatic 1-0, last minute win over pre-season title favourites Stockport County at Plainmoor.

Randell, 20, has signed for Gary Johnson’s Gulls on an initial onemonth loan deal.

The Pilgrims’ academy graduate has made a total of four starts and six substitute appearances for the club in all competitions.

His only game-time this season saw him start the 3-2 EFL Trophy defeat by Norwich City Under21st at Home Park on September 8.
