China rebuffs Trump’s claims

CHINA’S government has criticised President Donald Trump’s suggestion that Chinese hackers might be behind a cyber espionage campaign against the United States.

Mr Trump has scoffed at assertions by US Secretary of

State Mike Pompeo that Russia was behind attempts to spy on federal agencies. The president, without offering evidence, said “it may” be China.

China’s foreign ministry said it opposes cyber-spying and has cracked down on cyber crime.
