Unfair charges to dump a bag of soil
I SEE in (WMN Dec 21) that Plymouth Labour Council is introducing charges for private council tax payers disposing of small bags of soil etc. at their recycling centre.
This on top of the Council Tax charges. The reason given is to recoup the cost of disposal.
I wonder if they consider the irony of the costs they inflicted on their tax payers for the Gormley pile of scrap iron deposited on their harbour side?
Without that “art work” every private council tax payer disposing of a bag of soil could have done it with no charge and been paid a bonus cashback for being responsible citizens!
May I wish a happy and healthy New Year to you all, even those that don’t share my views!
