New Covid strain found in Exeter

THE new Covid-19 variant has already reached Devon, according to new data.

After Boris Johnson on

Saturday warned that the mutated strain is 70 per cent more infectious, it has been detected at 57 different areas across Britain.

And one of those areas is near Exeter, according to research from Mircoreact. Experts are currently analysing 3,000 samples suspected of being the new variant which is now known to be in parts of the Westcountry.
