Driver hands in licence after crash

A DRIVER has surrendered his licence after allegedly passing out while at the wheel of a lorry on the M5 motorway. Several lanes were closed after the crash on Monday caused ‘extensive damage’ to the motorway’s central reservation. The motorist received ‘medical’ help following the crash between J27 (Tiverton) and J26 (Wellington). Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team tweeted that the driver had surrendered his licence after receiving medical attention at the scene. Some lane closures remained in place.
