What else has been negotiated away?
ON joining the EU, a large proportion of British fishing grounds were ‘given’ by Ted Heath, the then Prime Minister, as a sweetener on joining the Common Market, so why on leaving are we only getting back 25% over five years?
What happens to the rest, then? if the EU still have fishing rights over it, then what happened to sovereignty? If that has been negotiated away, what else has?
Can our politicians stand in front of us and say: “Now we have left the EU we have full control of our laws, our borders, our money...”, etc, in all honesty?
Or is it another politicians’ ‘pie crust’ promise – easily made, but soon broken?
On a less serious note, I see we have yellow snow warnings in some areas. I was always told to avoid yellow snow.
