WE can always rely on Graham to bring us a bit of festive cheer and seasonal goodwill, balanced with a hefty dose of sceptical cynicism and biting realism, as we welcome in the New Year.
And he’s rolling out the big guns for this special New Year’s Eve edition – for starters he’s got Hollywood A-lister, Oscar winner, Covid survivor and all-round nicest man in showbiz, Tom Hanks.
If he can’t cheer us all up, nobody can.
There will also be the delightfully handsome Jamie Dornan and wonderfully gorgeous Emily Blunt, presumably trying to do a bit of a rescue job in promoting their new film which has had a good-natured and disbelieving ribbing from critics and audiences alike.
There will also be comedian Nish Kumar, who can always be relied on to be funny and talk sense, movie star Jessica Chastain, and music from Kitchen Disco goddess Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
