Another attack on buses in Syria
MILITANTS ambushed buses travelling down a road in central Syria, killing nine people, including a 13-year-old girl, state media reported.
The ambush is the second in a week to target buses travelling between government-controlled areas and to be blamed on suspected so-called Islamic State militants. Another attack last Wednesday killed 28 people, most of them soldiers returning home for the holidays.
So-called IS militants were believed to be behind that attack.
