SOUTH AFRICA WITH GREGG WALLACE
ITV, 7.30pm
GREGG WALLACE seems to be everywhere this week, popping up on a whole load of different shows. For this series – as you may have gathered from the title – he’s in South Africa.
He’s doing what the rest of us wish we could, travelling around to explore the stunning scenery and beautiful landscapes, the coast and vast savannahs, discovering the wildlife and the culture and sampling the local cuisine.
The MasterChef judge is exploring a different area in each of the six episodes, including Cape Town, the Garden Route, the Whale Coast, Augrabies Falls in the Kalahari Desert, Soweto in Johannesburg, and – for this first episode – Amkhala Game Reserve, a pioneering wildlife and conservation area in the Eastern Cape just north east of Port Elizabeth.
Gregg’s going on safari, which means getting up close and extremely personal with some of South Africa’s incredible wildlife.
