Sorry Rick, we don’t need your promotion

OH no! Not another “celebrity”– this time Rick Stein with another “enchanted” series showing off Cornwall. What annoys me is these would-be Cornish promote our homeland when all it does is attract more second home owners, holiday lets and an influx of people the county can’t cope with!

Look at Treliske, look at our social services, look at our infrastructure with schools, services, etc. We can’t cope now and programmes like this don’t do the good folk of Cornwall any favours at all, the Rick Steins and Dawn French’s of this world should stick to cooking and comedy, and leave us alone. Cornwall coped very well before and will again, we don’t need self-promoting programmes, it’s a disservice to one and all.
