Ferry ‘resting’ in Cornwall
SHE looks rather out of place in the tree-lined estuary of Cornwall’s River Fal.
But this P&O ferry has been taken out of service on the regular Dover to Calais route, where she once carried nearly 1,500 passengers and 530 cars daily between Britain and France.
The Pride of Burgundy is one of the ferry firm’s smallest ships and has been temporarily withdrawn as sailings have plummeted due to coronavirus lockdown measures. She has plied the route since 1993.
