Slimming with chocolate ?

-

HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT WELL Channel 4, 8pm

ONE of the dieters in this episode is absolutely winning at life – she is given the Chocolate Diet to road test. Who even knew there was such a thing and haven’t we all already been doing it?

Dhruti is one of the crash dieters in this weight-loss show, hoping for a quick fix from Dr Helen Lawal and Dr Javed Abdelmoneim.

Of course she’s made up with the news. But will it actually work? She has to ditch all snacks and treats, except for eating a small piece of dark chocolate at the beginning and end of every meal. Yes, even breakfast.

Weight loss shows really are looking up.

Her mate Heena has been given the Coffee Diet, which doesn’t leave her as buzzing as you might think.

Meanwhile, this week’s Shapeshifters on the four-week programmes are dad and son Joe and Jad.

Dad Joe, who likes nothing more than a chicken curry for breakfast, has just turned fifty and feels that now’s the moment to get his health back on track. He gets to grips with the Mexican Diet.

Jad, who wants to lose a few pounds before starting a new job, tries the K-Pop Diet, which is more about whole foods than music.

Elsewhere, the Life Changers are girlfriends Joan and Rosie, who want to shift pounds over a few months. Rosie tries the Macro diet in which you have to count your nutrients while Joan is going to road test a smart app diet.

But which of these diets will tip the scales to come out top?
